Good routine maintenance keeps the overall cost of ownership down and will extend the life of the wearing parts of the machine, such as sprocket, idler, chain and pads. This will also stop the vibration in the machine and damaging movement.
If you aren’t sure how your undercarriage is holding up, give us a call and we can set up an inspection!
Things to look for include loose tracks, chipped or broken sprockets, or loose or missing sprocket bolts.
Whenever possible, try not to run your machine backwards, keep it clean (don’t leave rocks and clay in the tracks!) and try to avoid always turning in one direction. Train your operators!!! Operator error can be very expensive for machine orders.
